The sound of Noise Floor Music, Roy Vanegas's solo music project, is electronic, often guitar–based, heady, typical (yet experimental), and ambient. The music exhibits Pärt, Boards of Canada, and GY!BE as influences. The theoretical constructions of Western melody conjoins them all.

Roy's passion for post–rock, electronica, and neo–classical minimalism doesn't allow him to choose the genre in which to work, so he attempts to put elements of them all into his music.

He's currently a graduate student and works as a teacher.
